Top 7 Underrated But Talented Musicians In Africa You Need To Know

IMG_20160729_144126These African artistes seems to be handed a dead duck job, pushing their boundaries beyond the system has become their botheration. These talented acts put in full commitment into whatever they do but still find it very hard to be recognized. With our bird-eye view we discover these top 7 African musicians who are underrated in the continent currently.

1. Brymo :

Brymo Olawale is one singer who shot to fame and maintained his relevance since. He’s very known for his singles “Ara” and “Good Morning” which was all released under his formal record label Chocolate City in Nigeria. He is one of the few singers in Africa who has a different style and makes music with concepts mostly directed to where he is coming from. People don’t really pay attention to this talent and its sad. He is really a gift for Africa!
2. C Real:

If you follow Ghanaian HipHop then you probably know this guy. His rap is “poetic” and might leave you thinking like what M.anifest has been doing to his listeners. CReal shouldn’t be where he is now, he should b,e way up with his talent. Ghanaians pretend not to see him.
3. Octopizzo:

He is a Kenyan rapper known
for being a straight shooter and speaking his mind no matter what. With all his dope lines and concepts, Kenyans are still sleeping on him. No wonder he said “HipHop in Kenya is dead!”
4. FlowKing Stone:

One of Ghana’s underrated talents. It’s not that he’s not known, Stone is very popular but Ghanaians sleep on him. Trust me, it is very hard to see a list of dope rappers in Ghana made by a blogger or critic in Ghana and you will see this man’s name in there. This is talent my people, talent!
5. Milli:

Milli is unarguably the most underrated musician in Africa. Dude is a Chris Brown, Drake, and a Kendrick Lamar all in one! He co-wrote M.I Abaga’s Chaiman album and got featured on most of the songs on it with one major crediting on “Yours”. Its about time Africa embraced new acts with new arts. If you are a real hiphop fan, go listen to Milli and judge for yourself.
6. Irene Logan :

irene logan

It would not be news to me if you don’t know her. But the truth is, she is one of Ghana’s finest female singers. She has only one major hit and that is “Run Away” featuring rapper Asem. Irene should be on top of her game by now with the kind of voice she has.
7. Ruby Gyang:

If you know talent, then you will side with me if I say she is the best singer in Nigeria currently. People don’t really pay attention to her works and it’s not making her get recognized. She can hit the kind of high notes very few singers in the world can try. If you know Ruby, you will know she’s underrated.,
